RAI Giving 2017

Candlelighters Childrens Christmas party

RAI have supported Candle lighters for approximately 15 years now. We sponsor the room and food for 200 children and their parents who attend their party. They have a Santa’s grotto, DJ. Face painting etc and presents for the children are sponsored by local companies.

Teenage Cancer Unit Trust

RAI have supported the Teenage Cancer Trust Unit for approximately 10 years and again sponsor the room, catering as well as entertainment costs for their annual ball. In 2016 they held an extension event in which they asked teenagers supported by the trust to keep video diaries of their experiences. RAI sponsored the Bury Theatre & the Wellington Suite and the food costs afterwards for up to 100 teenagers and their parents.

Children’s Heart Surgery Fund Christmas party

2016 was the third year that RAI have supported this annual event, sponsoring the room as well as most of the catering and entertainment costs for around 200 children and their parents to enjoy a day out amongst other families going through a similar experience.

Simon on the Streets

Sleep with Simon took place in the Tiltyard in 2016 for the third year running and raised around £25,000 as a result of RAI and TRA facilitating the annual sleepover event.

St George’s Crypt

Every year RAI support the Crypt through money and food collections, staff raffles and staff socials. At the beginning of 2016 RAI donated an impressive £1,083.64 to the crypt and are hoping to raise even more this year.

Little Hiccups

Little Hiccups came to RAI for their 5th Birthday party in Summer 2014. RAI have sponsored their Children’s Christmas Party and their Summer birthday party every year since.

Every year RAI give raffle prizes including tickets to our Christmas and New Year’s Eve Parties either to charities or to our clients who are raising money for charities and/or will sponsor an element of their event such as reduced menu costs, room hire, decoration etc. Some of this year’s include:

Hearing Fund – Raise funds and awareness for deaf children and their families in the UK

Kind Hearts Give Back – RAI provide room hire, discounted menu & raffle prizes for their annual ball which supports Cancer Research, Jo’s Trust and the Yorkshire Cancer Unit

OSCAR’s PBTC – (Ongoing Support, Care & Research into Paediatric Brain Tumours Charity) Annual Ball raised over £21,000

Sky Bet – Raised money for Teenage Cancer Trust at their Charity Ball

Strata Homes – Annual Summer ball raised £57,166 for Little Hiccups.

Sue Ryder – Annual Yorkshire Women of Achievement Awards raised £58,500 for Wheatfield’s Hospice

Sunshine & Smiles – Leeds Down Syndrome Society. RAI are providing free room hire for their Christmas Party.

YABL - 2016 Yorkshire Asset Based Lending Dinner supported Macmillan Cancer Support in Yorkshire

Yorkshire Children of Courage - A celebration for children who have helped raise money & awareness for good causes, sometimes when they have experienced trauma or difficulties themselves.

Yorkshire Indian Society - variety of charities based both in the UK & in India

Yorkshire Water - on behalf of Water Aid

WAFL - A Wharfedale based charity raising money for disadvantaged children in the local Wharfedale area

Ultra White Collar Boxing – Put on a number of events in 2016/2017 to raise money for Cancer Research
