He met with senior ministers for roundtable discussions in Saviles Hall Leeds’ Largest, Newest Venue where members of the public were able to ask the PM questions about the economy.
This was a remarkable event for Royal Armouries (International) plc as Gordon Brown then went on from SAVILES across the square to the Royal Armouries Museum in the afternoon to chair a historic meeting of the cabinet in the Wellington Suite. This was only the second time such a meeting of the government's most senior ministers has taken place outside London since the Second World War.

Other notable celebratories include Terry Wogan who attended a Children In Need Charity event organised by ASDA, Darren Gough the Cricketing legend who hosted his testimonial dinner at SAVILES Hall and self-made millionaire Theo Paphitis from Dragons Den who launched a unique degree on behalf of the University of Huddersfield.
